FE Department
Welcome To FE Department
HOD'S MESSAGE
Dr. Y. P. Yadav
It is my great pleasure to introduce you to Applied Sciences Department, which is the foundation of Engineers. Applied Sciences Department committed to provide the knowledge through a closed knit family of highly competent faculty. Applied Sciences Department plays a significant role in an engineering college due to the teaching of fundamental Sciences and Humanities courses for engineering students of all branches. In Engineering study applied sciences department is intended to form a strong foundation of basic principles of various disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the mind of the learners, so that they proceed to rest of their years of study with up to date knowledge and training of basic engineering skills. Our Laboratories are well established which not only covers curriculum but also motivate students to learn beyond the curriculum which definitely develops practical and theoretical knowledge of the subject learners and develop skill sets of students to become promising engineers in future.
I would like to conclude with the words of Thomas A. Edison who has rightly opined “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up, The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time ”. I wish a very best of luck to the students…

Disaster Management workshop.
Now a day’s life is very fast and also there is big bad impact on nature due to high standard of living. Human being made interfere in ecosystem, all this results in disaster which causes threats in life on the earth. To get rid from such incidents it is utmost required to make aware the students about disaster and its management, hence we organize two days (03.03.17- 04.03.17) workshop on Disaster Management at Seminar hall funded by student welfare department of SP Pune University, Pune.
On the day first, At 10 am programme was started with Dip-prajwalan and Saraswati pujan. At this time Principal, safety officer Mr. Shahaji Pawar, SWO, NSS program officer, all HOD, staff and student were present. Our college Principal Hon. Dr. P.D. Nemade express their views and experiences about disaster and its management.
In first session of first day, Mr. Shahaji Pawar, safety officer of Karmyogi Sugar factory Bijwadi. He deliver the lecture on fire disaster and its management. In that he talk about types of fire, types of fire extinguisher, how to operate the fire extinguisher explain with demo in front of students, staff, non-teaching staff and peons.
In Second session of first day, Dr. Sanjay Chakane, well known personality for disaster management and principal of ACS college Indapur delivered lecture on disaster management. He told on disaster, different types of disaster and its management. He told that two types of disasters: Natural and mankind created. In the lecture he gives some real life examples and finally he concluded that prevention of disaster is better than cure or its post management.
In first session of second day, a team fire bridged of Karmyogi sugar factory shows the demo of how the fire bridged system work, how to use this for fire disaster, they explain each and every thing with practical demo to students. Students were enjoying the learning of disaster management and also theiraces clearly indicates the responsibility about the incidents.
In second session of second day, Dr. Tushar Shendge (MBBS) deliver lecture on medical disaster and its management. During his talk he covered almost all diseases their causes, treatment and remedies to avoid the illness. Also he talks about the disease spread through water, air and bad food. He also explains the importance of medical help in road accidents. Lastly he told to students that, do exercise daily, yoga, pranayam and take balanced diet to avoid medical emergency.

Teaching & Learning
Teaching learning process includes academic planning and monitoring, Attendance monitoring, preparation of students for University examination and overall development of the student which includes academic, social, personality and overall development of the students.
All the students who are willing to take admission in SBPCOE should take the following task sincerely:
On basis of the basic knowledge of English, a test will be conducted during first semester and based on results of this test; students have to undergo Basic English course.
Students will get admitted in engineering colleges through CAP. In first year of Engineering, students have to deal with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Fundamental of Engineering. [First year is common for all branches]. Under fundamental of engineering different subject are included among which “Fundamental of Programming languages” is little vast, we recommend our students to go through basics of this subject.
Subject: – Fundamentals of Programming Languages –I & II
Year:- FE Semester –I and II
- Computer Hardware Basics
- Computer Units
- Algorithm, Flowchart, Documentation
- C Programming Language
- C Programming Constructs
- A textbook of C Fundamentals , “Let Us C by Kanetkar”.
- “Computer Fundamentals”, By P. K. Sinha.
- Compulsory uniform with I Card, Shoes except on Wednesday.
- As per the University rule 75% attendance is compulsory, if the student fails to comply, he/she is detained and not allowed to attend the examination.
- Ragging is strictly prohibited as per the law.
- College established its own antiragging cell.
- College established “Ladies cell” to solve girls problem.
First year is common to all engineering branches .The admission to first year engineering is on the basis of a common entrance examination. There are Four divisions of first year in regular shift. The divisions are formed according to the Student Names(Starting with Sirname) :
Sr. No. | Divisions | Intake |
1 | A | 51 |
2 | B | 51 |
3 | C | 51 |
4 | D | 53 |

FE Induction Program is a significant process for bringing students into the Institute &provides an introduction to the working & curricular environment inside the institute.
