Prof. S. A. Deshmukh
M.E.(Heat power), PhD (Pursuing)
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2009. Department consists of highly dedicated, motivated, qualified and competent faculty along with good academic excellence. It possesses state of the art laboratories and departmental library catering to the needs of the students. It is highly reputed for producing eminent engineers as professionals, researchers and entrepreneurs. Many of its alumni occupy key positions in industries, government sector and institutions in India. The department is proud to be collaborated with well-known industries in the sector. To cater the need of current industrial scenario our department is organizing many industrial visits, developing value based projects. Department has established various student development cells like CEC (Competitive Exam Cell), SOLAR Cell, soft skill training, GRE, TOFFEL, foreign fellowship, GATE guidance and training for the knowledge and skills up gradation of the students. Department is committed to achieve global standards and to provide excellent ambience and facilities to the students.

Program Specific Objectives (PSO’s)
PSO1: Specify, design and evaluate mechanical components and systems using modeling and analysis software.
PSO2: Apply knowledge of machines, tools, automation, properties of advanced materials and modern management methods for manufacturing of mechanical components and systems.
PSO3: Apply core aspects of thermal and fluid engineering to determine the performance of mechanical systems including power absorbing and power generating systems.
PSO4: Apply the recent technological developments in thermal engineering to develop products to cater the industrial and societal needs.
